Michael and my husband, Brian, went to high school together so I have crossed paths with Mike and Melissa many times throughout the years. It was such a pleasure to spend some time with them and their little ones, dodging rain clouds on a chilly September evening. Melissa suggested Acacia Metropark in Lyndhurst, Ohio to spend some time together and capture some family photographs. It is an ex-country club/golf course taken over by the Cleveland Metroparks. I used to pass this place all the time when I worked on the east side, but never knew what it was. My camera and I were immediately drooling at all the exotic grasses and unique trees along the almost 2 mile path. We walked around, exploring the park and snapping photos along the way, found a pond, a couple gazebos, and grand weeping willow trees (love!); a most welcome retreat in a highly congested area on the Lyndhurst/Beachwood border. The crispness of fall was definitely in the air during our shoot -- and by air I mean wind! It was very windy, but, talk about a photogenic family! These guys were pros at dealing with the gusts of wind and simultaneously looking great. I couldn't take my camera off Philip's charming face, his captivating eyes locked in focus on my camera lens. Juliana had been working on her sweet smile, concentrating on no nose-scrunching and as you can see, she did a beautiful job!
