This week my favorite story-telling App, Steller, threw out the challenge to create a story about your family and how it has shaped you for a chance to be featured in the editors' hashtags highlights. You can check out my #stellerfamily story below.
It's almost Thanksgiving -- the perfect time to think about who/what/why you are grateful for your family!
Thank you to Steller for featuring some of my story's photos in their latest Hashtag Highlights challenge and in their #stellerfamily Hashtag Highlights.
A few things my little guy has been busy with this month:
This sweet little red + white-striped hot air balloon is the first purchase I made (at the awesome Cleveland Flea) for Braxton before he was born. To me it meant freedom and exploration + adventure, characteristics I hope to instill in him as he grows up.
September started out with some pretty rainy days. But by now Braxton is outside playing in the pool or with the hose as much as possible. Like father, like son: Brian always said the best, most crisp, cold refreshing water came from the hose when he was a kid. Braxton discovered the same thing. Most often, photography for me is an on-going practice of visualizing and capturing people's experiences and their interaction with light. This month was all about taking advantage of my little photographic subject by spending some golden hour evenings shooting Braxton portraits. July was full of fresh fruit, veg and travels, including our trip to Joyfully Organic Farm in the Toronto, Ontario area of Canada. Braxton absolutely loved the freedom of exploring the kale, chard, carrots, beets, and all other varieties of organic vegetables on the farm. He lived with the dirt this month and I'm all about getting dirty. |
